the one this that is constant...

My parents are gone. ;-(

So aggressive. My two lives slammed together. Then torn apart. I must say my lives came together better than I thought that they would. Remarkably better. The time was passed so incredibly even in my house that it was as if there wasn't a language barrier for them at all.

But I've come back to a very different life. In the past two weeks: two 3 exchange students have been sent home (which I didn't even get to say bye to one of them), my parents came and left, school is starting up (university), my 1st host dog died, my host grandma's cancer got A LOT worse, carnavals ended, and my host dad became president at our club in the beach (making him even busier). Clark is leaving for half a year. Holly is going to shoot a music video in Florida. My dad is buying a new dog in the U.S.

At the least my life has changed extremely these last few weeks. And it is very hard to grasp. So hard. I literally feel like throwing up from all of the change.

Not that I don't like change, but just having so much at once is a lot to take on. But as my family tells me...God puts us where we are for a reason. He has us in our specific ministries for his Good and Perfect WILL! Holly made this video you should see...

There was a reason I was wearing glasses in that movie. She happened to make the video the day they were leaving. haha.

Anyways, taking off to the beach tonight with my family. My host sister (carolina) is going to dance the "evolution of dance" with a bunch of kids at this LUAU? that is going on tonight;-) It should be fun and will definitely get my mind off some things.

God is so faithful. If we weren't coming up against hard times how would we ever grow. Ever learn. Ever live.

Do Hard Things.

Clark and I. We had so much fun.

Going to Machu Picchu!;-)

Were missing one... (camille) ;-) but still, a great picture. ;-)

I love them.
Additional: In Machu Picchu, we arrived and you couldn't even see the mountain it was so cloudy. Then, after about an hour of praying and hoping... ALL THE CLOUDS LEFT! and better yet, the sun came out! It was a miracle, considering it was rainy season. I was actually hot in Machu Picchu haha. ;-) This picture was taken in the process of the weather change;-)

The one thing that is constant in my life... the Word of God.

  1. Thanks Luke :) I needed his tonight :) a reminder that God has us where we are and in the ministries we are in for His good and perfect will.. Proverbs 3:5-6 has been heavy on my heart this week as I keep reminding myself that even though i may not understand why God has asked me to do certain things recently or my flesh may want to do the exact opposite and do what is comfortable, that if I just keep trusting in Him and quit trying to understand it all, that He WILL make my paths straight and I will be in His good and perfect will :) so thank you for yet another reminder tonight :)
